While I love the images in this book, the print quality and paper used is poor. A lot of very good concept to build ecohouses.A must read book to everybody considering to build a house these days.. If you're going to buy this, try to look for an older, used version.. Some of the patterns are abstract and without specific meaning, but the overwhelming majority are rich in symbolism. The variety of subjects discussed makes the book seem like aloosely connected set of magazine articles. Now that we have such easy access to digitalphotography and now that such high quality digital photographicequipment is available and especially now that there is readyaccess to image manipulation software (Photoshop, The GIMP, etc),this becomes a more salient issue. Some of Whitaker's analogies are mysterious to me;I don't get the connection. She'dlikely be uncomfortable with labeling an art museum as a business.And, she worries that when the price of admission to an art museumor an exhibition at one becomes mor
