Now that we have such easy access to digitalphotography and now that such high quality digital photographicequipment is available and especially now that there is readyaccess to image manipulation software (Photoshop, The GIMP, etc),this becomes a more salient issue. That final battle felt more like what I've come to expect from this series thanks to the first 3 books and certainly better than anything else in the book.Another major problem was the tacked on relationships. The more he falls in love with her the more devoted he is. Political corruption and "fear of the gods" exert power over commoners. Highly recommend Surprise by Tania Luna and LeeAnn Renninger. Common patterns have bite: The post war era found societal hierarchies reshuffled and old elites were often supplanted. Even if you are wiccan, like I am, you might enjoy these fluff spells.
