My grandson liked the bright colorful pictures but the stories are not so good.. This book however, gives an accurate overview of the lives of these beautiful animals, it had me hooked and I read it in one sitting. Rose is intrigued when she sees a shy young guest making out with one of the hot ranch hands in the parking lot at the ranches annual Halloween party. I waited until I got my results to post my review of this book. Many go to prison for crimes they did not commit. This is a pamphlet, not a book. My one criticism is that she doesn't say anything about the amazing photograph on the book's cover! Who is it, where was it taken (it's from a Yale archive, but we don't know anything else about it!), and in what way(s) is Somerville using it! It's too good to not remark on.. Only by reading Awakening Sleeping Beauty will readers understand what I mean.I was fascinated by the section entitled "The Law of Attraction," a law describing how we attract in our life what is within us. As with a new communication medium there were intended and unintended consequences and the book explores that.The parallels between other communications mediums such as the telephone and the internet are striking.
